MSI Center is trash, but love everything else about this motherboard

Generally speaking: don't buy this board. I bought this in 2022 and it worked well enough for about 6 months then I started noticing some problems. Mainly internet connectivity issues. Finally, come 2024, and I finally realize it is using Wifi 5 network standards and everything in my house uses Wifi 6. Yeah. 2 years of struggling with ping and dropping connection and now I'm shopping for a new Wifi card or a new board. You should either get a card if you buy this or just buy a different board.

Bought this on sale when I was starting to upgrade parts on my 2 year old system. Upgraded from an asus rog strix b-350f motherboard. Really like the hardware for this motherboard but the included software disk that came with it caused me some issues. Components ran like crap on benchmarks with the installed software from msi, so I rolled it back to before installing the software and everything runs good. Rear io is pretty beefy and even includes usb-c. The onboard wifi is my biggest beef with this board. It's an outdated wifi standard so the speed leaves much to be desired. Not a bad board overall though. Includes some subtle rgb lighting which is nice.

Pretty good, EZ Debug LED is great for troubleshooting, plenty of USB ports, solid built in Wi-FI. The VRM gets kinda warm (85C-87C) when under stress, so make sure you have plenty of ventilation to keep it cool (although I would likely suggest to get a different motherboard tbh. B550s are much better anyway)

No fiddling with a separate I/o shield to clip into the case the chunky VRM at the top is not blocking the AIO fans, and no issue with Airflow very easy to install

no issues so far lol was kinda annoying that i had to flash the bios cuz of the cpu but whatever it works

edit: yeah i take it back the wifi card on this is absolutely horrible. buy another wifi card because this seems like a common issue with this board. getting download speeds of 13mbps on here but 100+ on my phone in the SAME PLACE so...

Great board but be careful as far as the headers you need are concerned. Seems like an obvious thing to make sure of before a build but it does not have the proper header for any USBc front IO connectors. Funny thing is it looks like the PCB has the lines for it but im not sure they are enabled and even if they are i would assume the BIOS wouldnt recognize one that was custom installed

Great it has everything you want for the price the Wi-Fi has been fast but sometimes glitchy like for a month it will be fine but for like and hour sometimes it just doesn’t work well but it looks great
